The Mid South, A land of cotton fields, the birth place of "the blues". In the springtime you can enjoy the red bud as it blooms, Memphis in May draws folks from across the country with a week of barbecue and celebration on the banks of the mighty Mississippi. This is the land of the Mississippi Delta, where neighbors still greet each other with a friendly wave and children still play in the neighborhood.
