ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
It all started in 1976, Alaska, Brooks Range in a Cessna 172
flying over the Yukon river, I was 16 years old. I made
a picture of the river that was later used in
my Junior year in high school as an example of
a meandering river. The image was blown up poster
size - not the greatest quality, but the admiration
of my high school geography teacher really got me
hooked!
Since those
early days the passion still burns, I accept only those
assignments that interest me. I have done dozens of magazine
covers, photographed weddings, portraits of Canadian Superior
Court Justices, US Senators, Presidents of companies,Chairmen
of the board and so on and so fourth. What I really like to do
is work at perfecting that which I love to do - make pictures
that folks like and appreciate.
I have used a variety
of cameras and equipment over the years. read more on equipment

I have decided to
reintroduce medium format high end portraits to the mix.
Although these orders take longer to fulfill there is a
definite quality that digital just seems to lack (maybe its
just me). I have developed a unique style for my

I work with my wife
Ingrid, creating high quality photographic souvenir magnets
that are then sold to vender's in the Memphis area.
Ingrid handles the accounts and (beats the streets) and is my
right arm in this endeavor. I create the images and design the
layout.
The exciting thing about my
journey is knowing that there is no final destination, I am
humbled knowing there will always be more to learn, with the
advancement of technology one can only guess where the
future of photography will lead.
Linda Baser,
Director of the Marion Chamber of Commerce writes
-
D'Arcy and Ingrid Evans are both friendly, easy
to work with and very professional. The quality of his work
speaks for itself. I challenge anyone to review his portfolio
and see for yourself. The pictures we have already received
are the best we have ever had.
Joana Meador, Manager of Vartech Displays in
Hayti , MO. says- The
magnets are selling good - we have to restock daily! Travelers
buy them and the locals really love the pictures!
