| About D'Arcy Evans
It all started in
1976, Alaska, Brooks Range in a Cessna 172 flying over the
Yukon river, I was 16 years old. I made a picture of the
river that was later used in my Junior year in high
school as an example of a meandering river. The image was
blown up poster size - not the greatest quality, but the
admiration of my high school geography teacher really got me
hooked!
Since those
early days the passion still burns, I accept only those
assignments that interest me. I have done dozens of magazine
covers, photographed weddings, portraits of Canadian Superior
Court Justices, US Senators, Presidents of companies,Chairmen
of the board and so on and so fourth. What I really like to do
is work at perfecting that which I love to do - make pictures
that folks like and appreciate.
I have used a variety of cameras and
equipment over the years. The exciting thing about my journey is knowing that
there is no final destination, I am humbled knowing there will
always be more to learn, with the advancement of
technology one can only guess where the future of photography
will lead.
